Assignment 8 - Movie Clips & Scripting Instances
Car Movie
Create one movie from the lesson on the car. If you're going to have two cars and want to use one button to stop both of them, you have to add both car instances to the scripts. Name each car instance a different unique name, and add both instance names such as car1 and car2 to stop button script. Your car.fla file will have THREE buttons:
- button 1, stops the car on the path but keeps the tires and the steering moving and the exhaust blowing
- button 2, stops the nested movie clips of the tires, the steering, and the exhaust
- button 3, plays EVERYTHING so the car will move on the path from its current location with the tires and steering moving and exhaust blowing
The purpose of this car assignment is primarily to teach you how to use nested movie clips NOT to create animation. You will need a clear understanding of how to create and address nested clips in order to continue with more advanced Flash work.
You may post your car.swf file to the Discussion area and reflect on the process.
